The Disney trip was as magical and necessary as we had hoped. Taking those breaks, spending money on trips, having experiences, that’s what my family and I want and enjoy.

The first time I saw palm trees I was like 5 years old and I have been mesmerized of them since.

The first time I stepped foot in LA I didn’t realize it was a place I would miss when I left and not just miss but when I think about it I feel it in my soul. That missing feeling like how you would miss a loved one.

I wonder how many people never have that feeling because they never get the chance to explore and travel.

I’m grateful that we get to do that and that my children get to experience all of these beautiful places and get the opportunity to learn about different cultures because in the end that’s what makes this place beautiful!

You never truly know where life is going to take you. You can do your best to control it but sometimes just closing your eyes and trusting yourself to walk is the best solution.

We have lived in 4 states in the last 11 years and each moment and experience has led us right here which is exactly where we need to be.

If you could live anywhere in the country which state would it be? We lived in LA for a year and it continues to call my name. Back to Cali is where I would go!

I spent the year working a full time job, building out the itscoolmom.com platform, AND homeschooling my kids.

It was a lot of work but we did it and we were successful! AND guess what, we are going for round 2!

Don’t let people tell you what you can and can’t do. I didn’t know the first thing about homeschool and I had to spend HOURS looking for all of the answers just to even get started.

As I took the journey though, I took notes and started compiling all the info I had onto one space so that other parents wouldn’t have to spend hours on end looking for answers.

Traveling and spending time with family is somethi

Traveling and spending time with family is something we haven’t done in almost 2 years. It was nice to have a sense of normalcy. Now back to the real world!

As we come upon the end of the school year, all I can think about is traveling and taking a break. Sometimes I feel unmotivated to teach the last of the school work that needs to be done and my kids are unmotivated to complete it.
.
.
I didn’t want the end of the school year to be a wash after all of the awesome progress we’ve made so I came up with some different ideas that really worked. I feel motivated to teach and they feel motivated to learn because we are having fun.
